D. Van Skilling - Chairman of the Board
D. Van Skilling has served as a director of the Company since November 2004 and Chairman since November 2010. He has been president of Skilling Enterprises since March 1999. He retired in April 1999 as chairman and CEO of Experian Information Systems Inc., positions he held since Experian was formed in 1996. Previously he was employed by TRW, Inc. for twenty-seven years, and was executive vice president from 1989 to 1996. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College and a master of business administration from Pepperdine University. Mr. Skilling is a director of The American Business Bank and the non-executive Chairman of CoreLogic, Inc.
Jeffrey C. Ballowe
Jeffrey C. Ballowe has served as a director of the Company since December 1999. Before leaving Ziff Davis at the end of 1997, he led the launches of 5 magazines, ZDNet on the Web, ZDTV (now TechTV), and the initial ZD/Softbank investments in Yahoo!, Inc. Mr. Ballowe is the cofounder and past president of the not-for-profit Electronic Literature Organization and a former member of the board of trustees of Lawrence University. He holds a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University, a master's degree in French from the University of Wisconsin, and a master of business administration from the University of Chicago.
James L. Brill
James L. Brill has served as a director of Onvia since March 2004. He is the chief administrative officer of On Assignment, Inc., a staffing agency for science and healthcare professionals, a position he has held since September 2012. He served as senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer of On Assignment from January 2007 to August 2012. Mr. Brill served as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Diagnostic Products Corporation, a medical diagnostics manufacturer, from July 1999 to December 2006. From August 1998 to June 1999, he served as CFO of Jafra Cosmetics International, a cosmetics manufacturer, and vice president of finance and administration and CFO of Vertel Corporation from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Brill holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Naval Academy and a master of business administration from UCLA.
Roger L. Feldman
Roger Feldman has served as a director of the Company since March 2004. He is a principal of West Creek Capital, an investment firm he cofounded in 1992. Prior to forming West Creek Capital, Mr. Feldman was an investment banker and an attorney. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School. Mr. Feldman serves as a member of the Audit committee.
Henry G. Riner
Henry G. Riner was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Onvia in October 2010. Mr. Riner has over thirty years' experience in building and growing profitable businesses in the information services and software industries. Onvia represents Mr. Riner’s fifth CEO assignment in his career. Previously he was CEO of OSG Billing Services, CoAMS, SourceLink and UMI. In each case Mr. Riner created exceptional shareholder value by aligning strategy, organization, and culture to build high growth businesses with outstanding profit margins. Mr. Riner is a visionary leader who has inspired organizations to excel and exceed their overall mission by relentlessly focusing on the customer and building information services and software solutions that redefine industries. Mr. Riner harnessed the commercial potential of the Internet earlier in his career by developing and introducing ProQuest in 1995, the first information provider to earn revenue from paid content on the Internet. Today ProQuest is used by hundreds of thousands of researchers, educators, students and professionals worldwide. Mr. Riner earned both his BA and MBA from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
George I. Stoeckert
George I. Stoeckert has served as a director of Onvia since June, 2015. Mr. Stoeckert is an independent investor and advisor. Mr. Stoeckert most recently served as President, North America and Internet Solutions at Dun & Bradstreet, Inc. from 2009 through mid-2011. Previously, Mr. Stoeckert was an Executive Officer at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (“ADP”), where for nearly 17 years he held various senior leadership positions. Prior to ADP, Mr. Stoeckert was with Ryder Systems, Inc. where for nearly 17 years he held positions in general management, acquisitions and mergers, strategy and financial roles. He has also served on the boards of several venture capital stage and joint venture companies including as an acting director of Careerbuilder, Inc. and member of the board of Capital Re Corporation, a financial guarantee company. Mr. Stoeckert is presently on the boards of The Brink’s Company, a global security-related services company, and Theragenics Corporation, a medical device company.
